3D printer composition

Essential parts of 3D printers

In these years, the 3d printer is the most practical and very easy to use, because of there development, in this article I will show you the most parts composing this type of printers.

1. The external structure :

It represents the outer frame that connects all parts of the printer together and is either open or closed. The printer structure must be solid and robust to print accurately. If the frame swings around, you will not be able to get an accurate print, because the motors are moving so fast and if they exceed a certain limit, the printer begins to vibrate, which affects the print results.

2. Print bed :

Every 3D printer needs a flat surface to build the printed patterns on it. This surface is usually called a construction platform. Some printers have a hot printing platform, where the surface can greatly improve print quality because it keeps the plastic warmth out during the printing period to prevent the hologram from moving and warping and thus distorting the stereotype.

3. Moving parts:

3D printers need to move the nozzle and construction platform from one point to another at high speed and accuracy to build prototypes. It achieves the movement process by using a set of linear motors where they are attached to screws, belt or other systems on the rollers.

The 3D printer must move in three dimensions X, Y, Z to build the 3D model. So there are 3 to 4 linear motors that are used to give movements to these axes. There are different types of printers available that use different combinations of movements. The platform moves in the direction of Y and the nozzle moves in the direction of X and Z (or the platform moves in the Z direction and the nozzle moves in the direction of X and Y) each direction have here proper motor. Another motor is used to push the material (thread) towards the hot nozzle.
