Creating and printing unique 3D models requires three types of software :
First, there is a 3D modeling program used to design your own models. Traditionally, CAD-computer-aided design is used for modeling objects.
Secondly, there is computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) program that converts your model into a specific machine instruction for the printer robot.
Thirdly, there is a printer control program, or client, that sends those instructions to the printer in a timely manner and provides a real-time interface for printer functions and settings.
3D modeling software:
In simple terms, modeling programs are programs that are able to produce a three-dimensional model and export them to STL format. Most programs that are provided with the 3D printer do not come with 3D modeling software. You can download free software or buy a more advanced software program to create 3D models.
Software Shredder Model:
The Model Shredder takes the STL file of the 3D model as an input and creates a G-code file, which cuts the 3D model into layers with a thin thickness. Shredder does not create a three-dimensional model but depends on the production of 3D modeling software to work.
Most programs come with a manufacturer's 3D printer and usually take an STL file as an input and create a G-code for the printer.
